Deploying immediate, small-scale funding to Tribal communities experiencing food access and agricultural infrastructure challenges

SEF is proud to partner with the Native American Agriculture Fund (NAAF) to administer the Harvest Now Fund, a funding opportunity for Native agricultural producers, Tribal governments, and Native-serving non-profits deploying immediate, small-scale funding to Tribal communities experiencing food access and agricultural infrastructure challenges.
Open period from February 1 to March 2, 2026 (11:59 pm Alaska Time).
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must belong to one of the following categories:
- a Native American or Alaska Native agricultural producer enrolled in a state or federally recognized Tribe, or a Native Hawaiian agricultural producer with a statement of ancestry;
- a state or federally recognized Tribal government; or
- a Native-serving non-profit with 501c3 status.
Opportunity
Grants are for $10,000 for a period of 7 months beginning April 1, 2026.
The Harvest Now RFA will fund Native agricultural producers, Tribal governments, and Native-serving non-profits to assist Tribal communities experiencing food access and agricultural infrastructure challenges. Our focus areas for this funding are:
- Agricultural and food infrastructure
- Cold storage and transportation
- Direct engagement with Native producers
- Food purchasing and access
Priority will be given to projects that can be implemented immediately and that directly support Native agricultural producers or Tribal agricultural efforts. Grant funds may be used for personnel or direct expenses that contribute to work on the ground.



Application Period
Our 2026 Request for Applications is open February 1 – March 2.
The portal closes at 11:59 pm Alaska Time on March 2nd.
